VLC streamer is out now for iPhone and iPad as the same app. You can download it here.
Why is this app useful? You can use this app to stream music and most videos straight from your Mac running VLC to your iPhone/iPad. You can then make your iPhone/iPad stream that to your Apple TV is you so wish to. Great little app.
